Shop Pay Installments lets you split your purchase into smaller payments at checkout, both online and in-store.

To use Shop Pay Installments, customers must meet these requirements:

• Location & billing address: Reside in the U.S. or Canada and use a card with a U.S. or Canadian billing address.
• Age requirement: At least 18 years old (19 in Alabama, Nebraska if a ward of the state, or in BC, NB, NL, NT, NS, NU, or YT).
• Shop Pay account: Must have an active Shop Pay account.
• Currency: Transactions must be in USD or CAD.
• Order value: Eligible for orders between $35–$30,000 (including shipping, discounts, and taxes).
• Prohibited items: Gift cards, digital currency, or any form of currency are not eligible.
• Shipping address: Must be within the U.S. or Canada (no P.O. boxes, APO addresses, or U.S. territories like Puerto Rico).
• Purchase type: Subscriptions and B2B orders are not eligible.
  

• Accepted: Supported debit or credit cards. Monthly payments require a debit card.
• Restrictions: Capital One, Chase credit cards, prepaid cards, and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) are not accepted.

Note: Credit cards can only be used for 4 bi-weekly payments, not monthly installments.

• 2 bi-weekly, interest-free payments for orders $35–$50.
• 4 bi-weekly, interest-free payments for orders $50–$999.99.
• Monthly installments (3–24 months) for orders $150–$30,000, with 0–36% APR depending on eligibility and region.
• For orders over $20,000, a down payment is required; the balance is split into monthly payments.

• Even if all criteria are met, final approval is determined by Affirm on a case-by-case basis.
• You must keep your Shop Pay and Affirm information (phone, email, etc.) up to date to make new installment purchases.
• You cannot opt out of Shop Pay while an installment plan is active.
